Cornerstone of House

Home Space

Lively, cheerful, and distinct personal color, are the first impressions of the homeowner from the design team. By using curved ceilings, diverse tiles, and colorful walls, Zhen Xi Pang and Yun Ting Wu have created a unique space experience for the homeowner. The design team split the entire wall of the study in half to meet the desk power supply needs and create a separate storage space. Color is used to distinguish the function, scope, and definition of each space.

This 85 square meter home is located near the school district and the park. The small indoor space and low ceiling posed challenges for the design team, particularly with regards to the air conditioning pipeline. However, they overcame these obstacles by utilizing marble, stainless steel, iron, tempered glass, wear-resistant floor tiles, baking varnish, and system cabinets.

The project was completed in Taipei in February 2019, with work commencing in March 2019. One of the main challenges faced during the design process was the stitching of different materials on the ground. Despite these challenges, the design team successfully created a visually appealing and functional space.

This design was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. The Iron A' Design Award recognizes well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. It is respected for integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings, and contributing to a better world.
